ABOUT HOUSE OF HAKU

House of Haku was founded in 2016 by designer and event professional, Morea Somaoang. Morea's passion for floral design began when she was a young girl, learning to weave ti leaf lei from her grandmother. This skill proved helpful when dancing in a halau hula and when gifting lei to close friends and family. Then in 2016, after spending two years working as an event designer and obsessing over the centerpieces at her events, Morea challenged herself to create a large floral headpiece for a strolling model as part of Maui Calls, at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. The piece was an incredible success and became the start of what is now House of Haku.
Since its inception, House of Haku has grown from a specialty lei company to a full service floral design company. We will always specialize in custom lei po'o but now also offer centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnières, archways and installations, and unique event offerings, including Haku Bars for 100+ guests.
Our craft is distinguished by thoughtful design, high attention to detail, and a sense of Aloha that is carried throughout. For birthdays to large corporate events, there is a House of Haku product to fit your needs and exceed your expectations.
